With over 45 years of rich exposure to recycling and waste management in private sector and with the community, MP has spent the better part of last 16 years working on Green House Gas Emission Reduction & Climate Change, Sustainable Development in thought leadership and action. He is a visiting faculty for students at university level and is known for his lectures in India and abroad.

MP has made notable contribution to the The Vetiver Network International by demonstrating quality application of vetiver systems as well as being a reliable supplier of the plant in India. Villages in Haryana and Punjab have benefitted from his intervention in innovative designs for Decentralized Waste Water Treatment system (http://www.vetiver.org/INR_VLIF Paper on vlif site.pdf), Decentralized Sewarage Wastewater Treatment system and of particular mention is his bio-engineering intervention in Anandpur Sahib Museum Complex, Punjab with vetiver (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B25VpqYictMva2lSSEF0Rkdyb2c)

MP has also been appointed as the the HUDCO resource person for Sustainability and Climate proofing across all schemes like Smart Cities, Swachh Bharat, AMRUT, PMAY, etc. in the Centre for Research in Rural & Industrial Development, Chandigarh and participates in training the Urban Local body officials of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.

Recipient of numerous awards and accolades, MP has walked the talk by building an eco friendly house for his family where he stays now. With interlocking blocks for load bearing walls and Cellular Lightweight Concrete blocks for non load bearing walls, all manufactured at site; roof insulation, smart fenestration, in house waste water recycling, methane gas recovery from kitchen waste etc. his house is truly a demonstration of sustainable living. His home is open for educational tours by prior appointment.

MP received his dual engineering degrees in Civil and Mechanical from Punjab Engineering College and Institute of Engineers respectively.
