Tilak has 33 years of rich agricultural & rural banking experience across North Eastern States of India as a senior official of State Bank of India. After moving out from his salaried job in 2012, his passion in developmental economics and incisive knowledge of marginal communities spurred him to successfully execute challenging mandates - several as pioneers - from multilateral institutions, development institutions in India and state level developmental agencies.

He is now shaping minds of young entrepreneurs in agribusiness, training young bankers on financial inclusion and devotes his time as guest faculty across institutes in North East. He has earned several accolades, empanelment and accreditation in this regard.

He is an independent director with NBFC-MFI: Gramin Development Finance (P) Ltd., and full time advisor with Social Enterprise: Drishtee Foundation.

Tilak did his bachelors in Agricultural Economics from Assam Agricultural University.
